Neo-Nazi Solutions to French Racism

-
"The Roma Question"
-

-
Antiziganism is the official term for the racist views demonstrated against Romas (or Gypsies). No better place is this made evident than in France, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Germany (other nations are saturated with it too in Europe).
-
Under Nicolas Sarkozy the French state has taken a nosedive back into the 1930s. Passing laws without much opposition, Sarkozy has made it legal for the Gypsy population to be fingerprinted, searched without warrant, and deported without given cause. Their belongings can be seized by the government and their homes literally torn to the ground without legal justification. (Kind of makes Arizona look good in comparison)
-
In 2008 the most disturbing case of European racism came up in the news when two Roma girls were found dead on an Italian beach. Instead of reporting the dead girls the locals and some tourist decided to "enjoy the day sunbathing" just feet from the dead girls. Sadly, this incident was just one of many that had been occurring across Europe without any police reports or public concern.
-
Now it seems Europeans aren't happy with the occasional deaths and the continued persecution of Romas and Gypsies. No, instead the French have begun to bring up the "Roma Question" (note that Hitler used the same expression in reference to the Jewish population).
-
As early as 1996 the group for Human Rights, Amnesty International had shown concern over the way French authorities have treated Romas. In '96 a French Police Officer was accused and then released from prosecution after fatally shooting 8 year old Todor Bogdanovic. However the French Government stuck to their ruling even after sufficient evidence indicated the officer of shot the child without cause. Soon after the evidence even showed the officer had shot into the car after having expressed racist remarks. (He seemed to have thought the Romas were Muslims since they were fleeing 1995 Serbia.)
-
Now days the shootings have become more pronounced as the French Police legally harass the 20,000 Romas. They claim that the population of Gypsies in France has risen to 400,000 since legal immigration began nearly two decades ago. However the "illegals" (as Sarkozy says) number less than 5,000 of all "travellers" populations. Of the 20,000 Romas in France, less than a half of a percent is illegally residing in France.
-
According to the French Interior Minister, Brice Hortefeux, since 2009 9,875 Romanian and Bulgarian Romas have been deported. He is unwilling to admit that many of these were seized by the French police in the middle of the night and deported without trial or judicial justification. He is on the other hand willing to say in the papers that these "racaille" (in English; "scum", "thugs", "rabble", "scoundrels", "lowlife", and "riffraff") were electronically fingerprinted and documented regardless of age.
-
This sorta method of creating "Leben Raum" is a direct reflection of the Nazi's "Final Solution".
-
And more surprisingly this method is in direct violation of the French laws that currently exist on the books. According to French law it is mandatory for all communities in France with a population of 5,000 or more to make camps available to the travelling community. Thusly it is unlawful for Sarkozy to tear down these said encampments under his decree that they are "unlawful". And yet over the last two years Hortefeux has had 200 of the 300 Roma's camps down.
-
All of this is leading many Human Rights groups to question just how far the socialist ideals will spread? Just how much can the working class of Romas and Gypsies tollerate this kind of abuse? And how long will it be before the Europeans begin to order all Romas to wear visual indicators of their "ethnic background"?
